Our Journey Towards Sustainable Flower Farming
We have been growing and selling cut flowers in the Welsh hills for 30 years. Our love for the many varieties of seasonal flowers has lead to the expansion of our flower farm and the range we grow each year. The Welsh Flower Barrow was launched in 2023 for postal flowers, to spread our passion for sustainable seasonal flowers across the UK. We take pride in our commitment to nature friendly farming. Our mission is to provide beautiful, British grown flowers while minimising our environmental impact. We believe in the power of nature to bring joy and beauty to people’s lives, and we strive to share that with others.
Meet Our Team
Emma
Flower farmer florist and tutor
Horticultural tutor and grower. 30 years experience growing with nature in mid Wales. Emma cycles the flower bike barrow to market through Spring and Summer each Saturday to make bouquets and posies in Llanidloes market.
Dave Ash
Maintenance and tree grower
With a passion for all living things Dave observes the natural interconnections on our diverse growing site. He can be found each Winter in the willow cutting patch, listening to the birds and waiting for the owls to move back in.
Anna
Grower
Anna has a passion for mushroom foraging and now cultivates them alongside the vegetables on our market garden. Feeding into our Ash & Elm CSA veg bag scheme. She loves to get stuck in with the flower growing whenever she can.
